Cygnus Instruments Ltd will be demonstrating their latest range of multi-mode ultrasonic thickness gauges which incorporates three versatile measuring modes in just one unit and have been tested to the toughest Military Standards [MIL-SPEC-810G].
Still using the multiple-echo technique for accurate and reliable measurements through coatings, these gauges also use echo-echo and single-echo measuring modes to assist in obtaining measurements in areas of extreme corrosion and/or back-wall pitting. These gauges also offer an array of new features including: large colour A-scan display; real-time B-scan display; sequential and comprehensive data logging; automatic and manual gain control; Bluetooth data transfer capability; vibrate alert to warn the operator when the measurement is out of tolerance; Cygnus trademarked MSI™ technique for indicating stable and reliable readings when used in echo-echo and single-echo modes; plus much more.
The new instrument enclosure has allowed Cygnus to achieve the tough American Military Standard MIL-SPEC-810G for environmental protection. These gauges will survive the harshest operating conditions including drop, vibration, dust and water ingress (IP67) together with low and high temperature cycling.
While the latest range from Cygnus offers many new features, the simple to use menu structure means that these gauges are quick to learn and very easy to use.
