SONOTEC Ultraschallsensorik Halle GmbH

SONOTEC was founded in the beginning of 1991 by the physicists Dr. Santer zur Horst-Meyer and Hans-Joachim Münch and has been owner-managed since then. With currently more than 125 employees, today we are a growing technology company established on the market as a provider of specific solutions using ultrasonic measurement technologies. We produce our entire range of self-developed ultrasonic technologies in our own workshops and laboratories, including established solutions in the fields of:

  • medical technologies
  • bioprocessing technologies
  • the chemical and pharmaceutical industries
  • the petroleum and natural gas industries, pipeline technologies
  • mechanical and plant engineering
  • automation technology
  • non-destructive testing

Together with you, our client, we initially analyse your exact measurement and metering requirements. This enables us to develop optimized ultrasonic solutions to suit your precise needs. We produce high-precision and high-quality equipment at fair prices. We are able to achieve this because of:

  • our highly-qualified employees in research & development, production, distribution
  • our innovative products
  • our customer-oriented working methods

In order to investigate and put into practice new methods for technological advancement in the field of measurement technologies, we are committed to the NetUs-network for ultrasonic devices manufacturers.

Nondestructive Testing Equipment

We developed the world’s first air-coupled ultrasound inspection system SONOAIR. Accordingly, this innovative testing method is suited especially for the inspection of modern composite materials as they are used in several industries such as automotive, aerospace, ship building, machine building and sports and leisure goods. The applications and structures are highly diverse and can be developed further constantly.

Applications for SONOAIR:

  • Interface detection
  • Homogeneity analysis
  • Bond inspection
  • Delamination testing
  • Detection of internal cracks and inclusions
  • Impact damage inspection

The SONOWALL 70 A-/B-Scan thickness gage is perfectly suited for various ultrasonic thickness applications. The robust aluminum casing with IP 67, a light weight of only 990g and high resolution anti-glare 5-inch graphic display make the SONOWALL 70 the ideal thickness gage in harsh test environments.

Advantages at a glance:

  • High performance  & compact design
  • Flip-screen-feature simplifies usage
  • Intuitive menu & ergonomic design
  • Robust aluminum casing

For various thickness applications:

  • Corrosion testing
  • Through-coat testing
  • Precision measurement

SONOWALL 70 can be upgraded to a full function flaw detector SONOFLAW.
